Hi there! I’m Jessica Farmer, the heart and hands behind Farmer Loves Phonics.

With a passion for literacy and a deep love for the science of reading, I’m here to make reading instruction accessible, effective, and, most importantly, fun!

I graduated from Florida International University in 2009 and currently hold a reading endorsement in Florida for grades K-12, but my journey into the science of reading really took off in 2020. Like many, I found myself adapting to a new world during the pandemic and wanted to help parents support their kids’ learning at home. So, I hopped on TikTok and started sharing simple, practical tips—and from there, my journey in the online education community took off!

Since then, I’ve continued to create and share resources on TikTok and Instagram, aiming to reach both parents and educators. Along the way, I’ve pursued specialized training, including completing LETRS Early Childhood and Comprehensive IMSE Orton-Gillingham training.

Today, I’m proud to be the lead professional trainer for Rainbow Phonics and a facilitator for LETRS Early Childhood. With over 16 years in education, I bring a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to empowering every child to become a confident reader. Farmer Loves Phonics is my way of bridging research and best practices to support you on this literacy journey. Let’s make reading instruction something every child can connect with and enjoy!
